As far as I can tell, this show featured the first ever Mike's > Runaway Jim, the first pairing of Theme and Steam (which seems so obvious now), and the first Melt-Caves duo. To think, after all this time, that such combinations can be made, not only for novelty's sake, but because they fucking work, is refreshing, exhilarating, and worthy of revelry. Whether or not hints of Halloween were had last night seems secondary in my mind to the ease by which the horse became unburdened last night. I look forward to keeping tabs on the rest of the tour from south Florida, and I cannot wait for the exclamation point to 2014 that will be Miami NYE.
